Kelly Shibari, a big, beautiful woman, adult film actress, and sexual educator for gals of every size has the honor of being featured on Penthouse in all her rock and roll glory proving once and for all that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities. The June issue hit the stands today everywhere Penthouse products are sold (Barns and Noble, 7-Eleven, etc). Yes, you read that correctly. The June issue is out at the end of April. Go figure! And it’s about time adult magazines give readers more than just the expected cookie-cutter centerfolds! I mean, who wants to stick to just one flavor ad nauseum when there are so many tasty choices to choose from? Even the cover is a departure from the usual boudoir chic showing Shibari looking as if she’s about to blow the roof off an arena at her own concert. “It’s not the picture I would’ve picked” laughs Shibari. “Penthouse – everyone is usually scantily clad – very much in lingerie, you know what I mean, bikinis and such, and the managing editor, Eric (Danville) was like ‘I want THAT photo to be on the cover’, and I was like, “Okay”. The photo is a reflection, according to Shibari, of Danville’s own rock and roll personality. It’s theatrical, commanding, and in-your-face. It’s also intriguing and inviting which will seduce and lure the curious and please those who revel in the fuller figure. “It’s a striking cover, and I’m very, very happy with it.” Kelly Shibari was not an unknown to Penthouse and Danville. She’s known some of the players for the past few years collaborating on projects and public relations. So when the decision by Penthouse was made to finally shake things up, Shibari was the first to come to mind. “They’ve profiled non-adult performers in the past, BDSM performers like my friend January Seraph for their main magazine, but they’ve never really touched on a lot of Alt or non-mainstream performers, and…I don’t know if it’s because I’m a little bit different. I’m older. So my take on adult entertainment is kinda steeped in – to the point, I used to watch in the 90s and the late 80s. The kind of porn I watched was for entertainment, kind of just fantasy-based storylines so it wasn’t meant to be a replacement for sex education. A lot of kids these days watch a lot […]
Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the sexiest of them all? It’s the viewer’s choice when it comes to this naughty fairy tale from Wicked Pictures and Director Axel Braun. Might it be the vain queen played by jessica drake or Snow White played by Riley Steele? Not your typical work of porn at all. Sure, there’s lots of sex, but it’s couched in an actual story with period costumes that allows us all to think “so this is what happens behind castle doors!” The introduction of flirty fairies vying for the King’s staff kicks off this new genre of adult entertainment. This variety of porn is far more appealing to women – a heretofore barely tapped demographic in the industry. Women love a good story, and a good fairy tale about good versus evil, good sex versus evil sex (both are pretty darn good!), and the ultimate goal – love, will have women downloading sexy fairy tales to the absolute delight of their significant others. Costumes and makeup in this movie are vibrant and fun. Maybe Wicked can offer the costumes for sale for a little role play? One male friend noticed the cinematography as far superior to the regular back-room porn. He felt more like he was watching an actual movie, and indeed, it does view as a real movie experience. He shares that “there’s more going on than a few words and then just sex. There’s foreplay and it’s more appealing this way.” This coming from a guy! A straight guy! The musical score is to be commended as well since it does what a good movie musical score should do – enhance the mood of the scenes and carry the viewer along. Definitely not the funky 70s-style music most people immediately identify with porn. Drake makes for a wonderful wicked queen – controlling, sassy, and dominant. Steel makes for a beautiful Snow White and manages to be the innocent girl which is quite a feat in an adult film. The Huntsman, played by Barret Blade reminds me of Dave Navarro, but brawnier and with a mock-British accent! Also, some gore makes an appearance when the queen whips out a bloody beating heart and proceeds to take a bite. Kudos to Braun for adding a little horror to heighten the sex appeal of the film. There really is a little something for everyone in Snow White. “The […]
Citizen Brick, a web-based entrepreneur based on offering custom Lego sets for customers, has released a strip club set. The set, entitled with the tongue-in-cheek “The Citizen Brick Center For the Performing Arts,” is selling for $275. It is not officially endorsed by Lego, but it is selling like hotcakes. The set includes a DJ, two female dancer minifigs, and one male dancer, who wears a bowtie and sports a ridiculously hairy chest, not to mention his amazing ‘70s porn ‘stache. Dude looks like Ron Burgundy is what we’re saying. There are a total of 80 printed pieces that include hot pink leopard print, holographic wall tiles, and working LED lights. Everything is awesome in this set is what we’re saying. Lego does not endorse these types of sets as they try to focus on making sets for a younger demographic. This is the company that rejected a fan push for a Firefly set because of the show’s darker content, after all. That’s where custom set builders like Citizen Brick come in, however. They operate in a gray area that, while not officially approved by Lego, they can still operate mostly unbothered so long as they don’t go too far. Site owner Joe Trupia told the Huffington Post that he’s already sold a couple hundred of the set. His site has also created such adult-themed sets as Breaking Bad, though it isn’t referred to directly as such. Other sites have followed through on similar projects, including the aforementioned Firefly set, because there is still a demand for these sorts of sets, official or not.. Lego has been under fire recently for their lackluster attempts at courting the female demographic recently, so it makes sense to avoid being seen as officially endorsing a set based around strippers. So while it seems unlikely that Emmett will be frequenting the establishment himself, You can still set it up and have your own minifigs go in and enjoy themselves.
